We built the studio we couldn't find
Our founder, Maren, spent a decade teaching in studios that measured success by how many mats they could fit in a room. Yoga Class Pro opened in 2017 with the opposite bet: fewer students per class, more time per pose, and instructors who are paid enough to stay for years instead of months.
Nine years later, that bet has held. Half of our current instructors have been teaching here since year two, and a third of our members have been on the schedule for over three years.
Nine years, in brief
A room above the bakery
Maren opens Yoga Class Pro in a 400-square-foot room with twelve borrowed mats and one weekly Vinyasa class.
The Birchwood Lane studio
We move into our current space — two practice rooms, a tea corner, and finally, enough storage for props.
Prenatal & Yin added
Devi joins the team and brings our restorative and prenatal offerings, now among our most requested classes.
Six instructors, six styles
Sixty-eight classes a week across Vinyasa, Power, Yin, Prenatal, Meditation, and a Saturday kids' class.
